Quality Control

Updated: Mar 27, 2024

In addition to production, another critical aspect of packaging manufacturing is quality control (QC) inspection. There are several reasons why quality control inspection is crucial:

  • Ensuring product consistency: Quality inspection guarantees that each batch of plastic packaging products meets specified standards and criteria, crucial for maintaining packaging integrity and meeting customer expectations.

  • Regulatory compliance: Many industries, particularly those related to food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and hazardous materials, have stringent regulations concerning packaging materials. Quality inspection ensures compliance, averting legal issues and ensuring consumer safety.

  • Durability and performance: Packaging must endure various environmental conditions, transportation, and handling without compromising integrity. Quality inspection identifies defects or weaknesses that could affect durability and performance.

  • Brand perception: Packaging serves as the initial point of contact between a product and the consumer. High-quality packaging positively reflects on the brand, fostering a favorable consumer perception, while poor-quality packaging can lead to dissatisfaction and harm the brand image.

  • Continuous improvement: Regular quality inspections offer valuable feedback for continuous improvement in the manufacturing process. Identifying areas for enhancement allows manufacturers to refine processes, enhance product quality, and remain competitive.

We adhere to internationally recognized Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) standards for all product inspections. AQL is a statistical measurement used in quality control to determine the maximum number of defective units or defects considered acceptable in a product sample. For instance:

  • AQL 0.65 (major defects): signifies that no more than 0.65% of the batch products can have major defects.

  • AQL 1.5 (minor defects): allows no more than 1.5% of the batch products to have minor defects.

  • AQL 4.0 (critical defects): permits no more than 4.0% of the batch products to have critical defects.

We collaborate with independent third-party quality control companies for QC inspections. If you're interested in QC inspection services for your packaging, please don't hesitate to contact us.
